Windows allows to navigate to the pictures folder anf a selected picture is displayed by FastStone. FastStone Image Viewer (5.1) - my default jpg viewer (to circumvent Win8 navigation) - does not display the phone folder (but can display!) I dont havePhotoShop, but I tried some viewer on the market: You definitely do not get the phone folder, and the Windows folder is useless inasmuch as its contents can including picture files coming from other sources than the phone. Windows file managers only show the folders above. I could not find the "real" absloute path for the phone folder. Successive calls to wxFileDialog can produce different values for the folder name (GetDirectory()):Ĭ:\Users\raana_000\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\VZWRFIWQĬ:\Users\raana_000\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\CZHKFKI9 These folders are Windows-generated and contain files from different sources, including the phone files displayed in file dialog. Using wxFileDialog to select a file allows to get a folder name. In the Android phone, the DCIM/Pictures folder structure is implemented both on the SD card and in the phone memory, but neither is processed as a USB device. The user does not need to access the pictures themselves. (Most) digital cameras have an industry-defined standard folder/file structure (DCIM/picture folders on the memory card, processed as a USB ddvice), and selecting a picture folder is a natural way to indicate where to get the pictures. For the background: my application was created to extract pictures from digital cameras. ![]()
